I started “Live at 77” in 2009 at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa with the idea of bringing quality live entertainment to the town of Lake Placid and to our two venues, The Bistro and The Cottage. Because The Mirror Lake Inn is one of the few 4 diamond resorts in the Adirondacks, I wanted to make sure the entertainment was always going to be up to the level of our property.

Through some contacts in the Rochester, N.Y. area, I was given the name of a man who had a reputation as a great guitar teacher and innovator on his instrument. His name was George Collichio.

I hired George and he immediately set the bar for those who followed. He was so well received by our house guests as well as the locals that he immediately became a monthly regular on our calendar.

George’s style is in the vein of such precision guitarists as Craig Chaquico and Ottmar Leibert. From the very first note George weaves a tapestry that is soothing and utterly hypnotic. We are very pleased to have George playing here and needless to say I foresee George playing at The Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa’s Bistro for many years to come.
