Rolltop Music is pleased to announce the release of “Romantic Guitar Christmas”, the 1999 Christmas CD release from Rolltop Music. Like the Romantic Guitar instrumental series from Rolltop Music, “Romantic Guitar Christmas” continues the stellar performances of guitarist, George Collichio, of New York and the creative ideas of music producer, Tim Coffman.

The lush ambient electric and acoustic guitars, breath “fresh wind” into songs like “Joy To The World”, “What Child Is This” and “The Christmas Song”. The swing version of “I’ll be Home For Christmas” is reminiscent of 1950s big bands, and the punchy arrangement of O Come, O Come Emmanuel is sure to be a favorite.

The rhythm section features some of San Diego’s finest musicians; Drums- Duncan Moore, Bass? Kevin Hennesey, Percussion- Bernie Wolfe and Larry Mc Namer. Horns- John Recovics on Sax and Mitch Manker on Trumpet. You will immediately notice the warmth of this recording, that is because Rolltop Music Studios uses the finest vintage recording equipment from the 1950s-1970s, and even though this is a modern recording you can “smell the tubes” and hear the warmth of the vintage gear.

“Romantic Guitar 2” combines the talents of guitarist, George Collichio, of Rochester New York, and veteran music producer, Tim Coffman, from San Diego CA. The way the two men met is interesting. George had heard of Tim Coffman and his music through a local radio station in Rochester NY that was playing several of Tim’s CD tracks. In early 1998 George contacted Tim and asked him if he would be interested in producing a CD of George’s original music. Both men agreed to work together and in June, 1998 George came to San Diego for 10 days and recorded “Field Or Jarr”, a CD of 10 original songs. “It was during the recording of those tracks, said Tim, that I began to realize the awesome talent that George has. Like all great instrumentalists, George can make his guitar communicate many different emotions. You can feel the melody “dancing” when he plays”.

In October 1998 Tim Coffman invited George back to San Diego to record 20 original Rolltop Music songs and the “Romantic Guitar” series was born. George Collichio, in addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York, has also studied music theory at the world-renowned Eastman School of Music and is a well-known and respected guitarist in the New York area.

His style is a combination of classical, jazz, rock, blues and Spanish music and he brings an inspiration to his work that is refreshing George also teaches guitar at Elim College and owns George Collichio School of Music which has some 200 students.

Featuring Guitarist: George Collichio

SAN DIEGO, CA Rolltop Music is pleased to announce the release of “Turn on the Light” the new Jazz CD from recording artist and master guitarist, George Collichio, of New York.

“Turn on the Light” includes eight original songs written by George Collichio. George uses his influences of Latin and traditional jazz, classical, finger-pick style, blues and rock to weave a sonic tapestry that is timeless and at the same time still very accessible for the listener.

Rolltop Music producer Tim Coffman has carefully crafted the material into a very pleasant “Lights out Jazz” sound. The songs range from the exuberant sound of “Turn on the Light and “High Wire Act” with their Hammond B-3 and Horns sections to the intimate sound of “Freedom” which is a combination of quiet acoustic guitars and percussion. Song arrangements by George Collichio and Tim Coffman.

The all star band includes Brian Cantrell (Drums), Hector Maldonado (Bass), Walter Santos (Percussion), John Rekevics (Sax), Mitch Manker (Trumpet), Adolfo Hernandez (Keyboards).
